What rivers connects the most major cities in ratio to its length?

I saw an earlier question in this sub to rank rivers by their major bank-cities. This one is more about smaller rivers with major impact My entry is Detroit river, that hosts Detroit and Windsor, the "Automotive Capital of Canada". And all that for a measly 26 miles/42 km.
