Itchy paws & mudy floors - winter blues! 🐕‍🦺

I have share a dwelling with a lovely gremlin (1.5yr old working line German Shepherd). Ever since we moved into our current place he has grown to love our yard! LOTS of running around, sniffing, the occasional landscaping attempt (illegal), and now that it's winter this has resulted in never ending muddy hallway floor.. I have an outdoor welcome mat and try to towl him off when he comes inside but it's not a great system and the floors get soooo dirty. I'm also worried that the dirt is making his paws extra itchy? He is grooming them a lot and his paw pads feel quite dry. If anyone has tips for saving my floors and effective ways to regularly clean his paws better + anti itch products or supplements would be much appreciated. Id love to give him a proper paw bath each time he has been around dirt but that is not realistic with the amount of times he comes in and out.

My rescue was found living on the streets. This is the current state of her paws. Any recommendations on how to improve them? Is this painful for her? Is it very dry pads or something else? Would love to make her feel better. TIA
