Found this in/near dog's crate

I'm not sure if this belongs in this subreddit but we're hoping to find some answers! This is the second time we've found this in and near our dog's (indoor) crate. The first time was a few months ago and we never figured out what it was. Both times, we found it after our dog was in his crate for a few hours while we weren't home (he's always crated when he's alone, so this isn't atypical) but the crate was in different rooms of the house each time. The pieces are wet and kind of rubbery and can't be easily cut with a fingernail. They just smell like dog breath. Some pieces are inside the crate and some pieces are right outside the crate. We would assume they were pieces of a toy/etc., except our dog doesn't destroy toys and is supervised at all times when he's uncrated. This time, he picked a piece up and ate it before we could pick them all up. Last time, he acted totally fine afterwards and so far, so good this time. The red substance could be blood/etc. but he also ate some watermelon today (he didn't last time, there was no red substance last time) which is kind of what it looks like. We have not found any toys that it looks like this belongs too and the only thing in his crate with his was blankets. We do have a fenced in yard but he's always supervised outside and nothing outside resembles this either. Anyone recognize this?

Can someone help identify what could be wrong with my dad’s best friend? His Dog Buddy (Beagle mix)

My dad’s dog sometimes goes into what we call an “episode” where he is in sort of convulsions and shaking. Very scared and unsure. He knows me but doesn’t seem to see anything around him and as a beagle he’s always aware of everything all the time.

Blood in Poop

My dog has had a tiny bit of blood in her poop twice in the last 3 days. She doesn’t have diarrhea, vomiting or any other bad symptoms. She’s eating and drinking normally and same energy level she usually has. The only thing I can think of is she has been a bit stressed out because I’ve been away a day or 2 a week the last month or so for appointments so she gets left with her dad. Should I be rushing her to the emergency vet, make an appointment with her regular vet come Monday or wait it out and see if it happens again? She is older at 11 so I’m always worried it could be something awful.
