DD Cancelled my 9-pizza Little Caesars delivery due to an unresponsive customer.
What about it?
This is a good reminder to keep your phone close by and to be available when you have a delivery on the way.
Customer ordered 9 pizzas and 2 garlic cheese breads to be delivered to a large city park. Their only instruction: “in the park, near restrooms.â€
I arrived to their GPS coordinates and called to let them know I was waiting where they had instructed. No answer after three calls and numerous texts. Contacted support, who asked if I could “leave somewhere safe and take a picture†to which I responded “I’m in a city park, they’re either going to be stolen or eaten by critters.†Moments later, DD cancels the delivery, leaving me with half the pay and a criminal amount of free pizzas.
I live in a neighborhood with a high concentration of homelessness, so I drove around delivering to those who really needed it (kept one pie for my wife and I to enjoy for dinner later).
After about 20 minutes of this, out of nowhere, customer starts repeat-calling my phone. I didn’t answer. Order has been cancelled at this point and it’s no longer my problem. They will have to take it up with support (good luck with that)
