What DFace keeps, and why.

This page describes the information the site stores when you register, post, message, or browse. Last updated 8 October 2026.

01

Who we are

DFace runs the website at https://dfaceme.com. For a privacy question, use the contact page.

02

What you give us

When you register, we store the name, username, email, password, and the other profile fields you fill in, such as gender, birthday, or a short about line. If you upload an avatar or a cover, we store those images.

Posts, comments, photos, and videos you publish are stored so they can be shown according to the privacy setting you picked.

If you write through the contact form, we keep the name, email, and message so we can reply.

03

Using the site

We store the usual technical records needed to run the site: sign-in sessions, the pages you request, and basic device and browser data from the server log. We use this to keep you signed in, to protect accounts, and to fix what breaks.

We do not sell personal information.

04

Messages

Direct messages are stored so both people in the conversation can read them. They are shown to the participants. Staff can access an account’s data when it is needed to investigate abuse, a security problem, or a legal request.

05

Cookies

The site uses cookies to keep the session, remember settings such as language and night mode, and to know that you accepted the cookie notice. If you block cookies, sign-in will not hold.

06

Who else sees it

Other people see what your privacy settings allow: a public post is public, a friends-only post stays with the people you allowed.

The site is hosted on a server. The host processes the data as part of running the machine. If a payment provider is used for a paid feature, that provider receives the payment details you submit to them. We also share information when the law requires it.

07

How long we keep it

Profile data, posts, and messages stay until you delete them or delete the account, or until we remove them under the terms of use. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security. A contact message is kept long enough to answer it and to have a record of the request.

08

Your choices

You can edit your profile, change who sees your posts, and delete posts from your account. To ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion of the account, write through the contact page from the email on the account. We may ask you to confirm it is you.

09

Children

DFace is not for children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will close it.

10

Contact

Privacy requests go to the contact page. If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
