How can I remove Velcro glue from window frame without taking off the paint?
What about it?
Hello,
I had a portable AC in the window of my apartment last summer. I had to get a window kit that used Velcro to seal the window. I took the AC and the Velcro off after summer but some of the Velcro glue was stuck to the window frame. I didn’t think much of it at the time and left it. Now the glue is hardened and I can’t get it off. Shown in picture 1.
I’ve tried goo gone and a scraper and it mostly works but it also takes the paint off the frame. I have a metal window frame and doesn’t completely remove it. There’s still some left that doesn’t come off. Shown in picture 2.
I’ve tried vinegar as well with the same results.
I feel like I’ve tried everything and nothing is working. How do I remove these?
Thank you
Musty wood dresser
What about it?
I bought this beautiful dresser through an online auction to use in one of our children’s rooms. It has a musty/old attic smell to it but it’s otherwise fairly clean! So far I’ve tried to wipe it down with a water/white vinegar mixture a couple of times but to no prevail. Next I’m trying a wood cleaner so fingers crossed that helps. Any other recommendations?
