In this position, my next move was going to be Rf1#. Thankfully, my opponent resigned.

Why is promoting to a room the better move?

What about it?

Both moves lead to the king taking it and the same next few moves, so why does stockfish say it’s .05 better for me if I promote to rook?

How is this a miss? Won't the Black Queen just take my Queen?
