I’ve installed this once already, using Teflon tape, and the threads leaked. What could I have done wrong? I think I may have overtightened the adapter (how tight should it be?) and/or I melted the Teflon by soldering the adapter to the pipe without wrapping the adapter in a wet cloth first. I want to consult with the experts before reinstalling. Thoughts?
How many gallons is my septic tank?

I have an old concrete septic system on my property that needs to get pumped out but everybody I’ve called quotes by the gallon and I have no idea how big it is. It’s about 12 feet long with three chambers as shown. Anyone have any estimates as to how many gallons it might be?
