Honest question, am I wrong for thinking that this is potentially very dangerous?

I saw this earlier immediately thought it was a very dangerous thing to do, Aeroflot 593 instantly popped into my head (thought more so for the children the cockpits.) But when I expressed my concern in the comments people said I didn't know what I was talking about, so I've come to ask you guys who's right?
