Solensia Side Effects, my 19-year-old cat.

What about it?

Hi All, My 19-year-old cat has been receiving cold laser therapy treatments for arthritis for the past 18 months or so. Recently, my vet recommended Solensia as an alternative. My cat had his second (monthly) injection a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t notice any side effects from the first injection but, since shit #2, I’ve noticed loose stools and super stinky poops. I’ve read that gastric issues can be a side effect of Solensia. Has anyone else experienced this? (Note: He just had his semi-annual blood work done and the vet says it looked fine.). I’ll take him in to be checked but I guess I’m just looking for anyone who has dealt with this. Photo: my dude celebrating his 19th birthday in his most favorite way!

My 13yo, Jazz. He only recently started hanging out on the perch where his older brother, Davey, used to hang. I wonder if Davey’s smell is still there, even after passing in April.

(16) Mackerel and (14) Bear (Update)

What about it?

Update: Reposting as I forgot to include age in the title. Mackerel is a he, no mistaking, is diabetic but otherwise in good health. He has made himself at home. I am not a karma whore, I couldn’t care less. I don’t know who user Tony is, Mack’s pervious owner name is Erik H. I offered the user to meet me at the vet but he refused, so not sure if he is Erik or not.

My crazy senior kitty. Meet Patrick. (15 - I think!)

What about it?

Patrick is a very old kitty and lives a very cushy life. We adopted him in 2009, but he was not a kitten so we really don’t know how old he is. Patrick is loved to death by the family and he hates every minute of it. He is now deaf and loves to scream at us for every displeasure in his life, like an empty food bowl or a closed door. We love him.
