I’m not sure if this is my first post, but I thought I’d share something I’m proud of, if thats okay.

What about it?

I did this drawing today for a family member and it had me tearing up cause I haven’t been able to draw basically anything since I had to leave college several years ago. I wasn’t sure if what I was gonna try (the letter coloring) would work/turn out right…but it did, and it almost made me cry. A little bit of back story if I may. I went to college for character design with an emphasis on video game characters. This was several years ago, but anyway, at the end of my second year I had to leave due to health problems. Then a couple years after that, the school closed and I wasn’t able to go back to finish my degree. Well, it wouldn’t have mattered anyway cause my health kept getting worse. I’m now disabled and unable to do the jobs I know/love doing. To backtrack a little, shortly after leaving the school, I noticed that my ability to draw was starting to decline. At some point it seemed to disappear all together. This drawing is the first time since school that I’ve been truly happy with what I tried to create. So much so, that I’m hoping to turn this into a side/main gig (based on demand). I might be broken, but apparently I can still do this, and that makes me happier than I was.
