A lot of them are just gone off our first tree to produce. Found this one. Lots of squirrels, raccoons and rabbits in our area. Sadly I can't just shoot them as we live in an area too dense to do that. Any suggestions to deter this?

Septic Tank Gas Deflector?

Hello, My septic tank was recently pumped and there's a plastic flap hanging at about a 45 degree angle at the bottom of the outlet baffle. Is this a gas deflector? The tank was cleaned out; what you're seeing at the bottom is just concrete that chipped off the rim of outlet access cover Thank you Thank you!

Best way to transplant trees

What about it?

I have about 100 2 yr old red cedars in a pasture. I'd like to transplant them to the front of the property to create a break from the road. I successfully did three by digging them up with a shovel, then moving them with the tractor. But dreading doing the rest by hand Any great implements or strategies for mass transplanting?

My 20 week old Pekin duck laid her first egg early and she of course laid it into her pond for me to find.

Rat snake in the coop.

What about it?

I went to check on the chickens today and as I opened up the lid on the nesting box this rat snake fell into the coop. It's head was stuck as it had an egg half way down it's mouth. So the girls are spending the night in our fenced in greenhouse (winter harvest style hoop house). Figure we need to put some hardware cloth over the nesting box now. The roof swings open, so there is a small gap. Tried to grab it a with litter grabber/claw...it was not toi happy about that.
