Need some help capping a pipe
What about it?
I was trying to replace a dishwasher and have ended up a bit in over my head. The water supply coming to the dishwasher is 5/8 plastic pipe (outside diameter) shown in the picture and it needs to go to the 3/8 standard water supply on the new dishwasher.
Honestly at this point I don't even care about hooking it up but I need a way to cap off the water supply since there is no shut off for the line and I have to have the main off at the moment. Or if it's just as easy, a proper way to connect them since what I had done didn't work.
I can't seem to find anything online about capping this kind of pipe so any advice would be really appreciated!
Tankless water heater needs replacement?
What about it?
Dear reader/plumber
Last year we bought and renovated an apartment .
There already was a condensating tankless water heater in it. But after a little research it looks to be in the age range of 12-15 years, and it's service history is unknown. It's a De Dietrich mcr 24/28 mi plus .
I already descaled it, took 70% appart and cleaned every piece I could get my hands on. And we had a technician over to check if my cleaning was ok, and to ''recalibrate'' it.
Now the question is, when do you change a boiler like this? How to check if it's not working like it should and just costing us more money then it should?

The unit also provides underfloor heating.
The Asian vine snake can be found in the tree canopies of forests and gardens in South Asia, where it delicately slithers from branch to branch. When threatened, it faces its attacker with its arrow-like snout, inflates its neck, coils its body into an S-shape, and sticks out its tongue.
Hyenas are famous for their laughter-esque howls, but that is only a small part of their very diverse vocabulary. They make a wide array of sounds, including low whoops to call packmates. A 2022 study discovered that these whoops are actually unique to every individual; no two hyena sounds alike.
