Hermione and her knitting

What about it?

I don't understand why Hermione had so much difficulty with knitting the hats for the elves. Didn't she think to ask Mrs. Weasley for help in learning the spells necessary? I made this scarf (still a wip) in under three days after an hour of instruction from my mom. If I, who's normally a bit of a fumble finger can make this, surely the Brightest Witch of her Age could use magic to churn out hats that the elves refused to take.

As soon as I decided to get on the internet today this shit pops up. I’m done already.
