What is going on with the clean out on my new house

What about it?

This is worrying the hell out of me. 1915 house. This was in my inspection stating a plumber needs to address it. I believe they were using this as the washer drain? There is no p trap or anything and I’m worried about sewer gases. It’s very plugged up, like only a dime in diameter hole in the middle. I don’t even know how I would attach anything to this…

Is this dishwasher drain line hooked up right?

What about it?

Hi everyone, we just purchased this home and used the dishwasher but the water doesn’t fully drain from the bottom once the cycle is over and finished. The photo is what is behind the dishwasher, the grey line at the bottom is the drain line to the dishwasher and to the right the drain line is tied up to the top of the counter top (not pictured here). Thank you!!

New to sump pumps, musty smell?

What about it?

A few months ago I got a sump installed in basement to deal with foundation water issues. This is my first time ever having/dealing with a sump. Ever since it was installed it seems to be giving off a musty smell. The furnace is located near the sump so any smell from the basement comes to the whole house. I have a washing machine next to it that my wife swears the smell may be coming from but I have my doubts. I have a dehumidifier hose draining into it constantly so I don’t believe stagnant water is an issue. Attached is a picture. Anyone have any pointers or advice you can give? Appreciate it!
