Best way to add a second supply line to kitchen (for ice maker)?
What about it?
My fridge has a supply line that comes from the basement about 16ft away. Wondering if I can split the line at the kitchen or if I should run two lines and if so what's the best way to do it. Heading to hardware store later today for other stuff and figured I'd get what I need when there. (Picture of where supply line connects in basement.)
How to cap off the soil pipe that will be running into the new kitchen.
What about it?
Hey All,
I’m going to cut this old soil pipe down as it would be running into the new kitchen. ( from an outdoor privy shed that I’m expanding into. )
I was thinking -
1 - cutting and blocking Up the pipe completely. Concrete in sealed bags down the pipe and backfilled.
2 - cutting the pipe to fit under the lower cabinet an fit with an AAV and connect some gray water stuff.
3 - rethink life.

How to cap and enclose unused gas line?
What about it?
Tape for scale. Switching to induction, and I now have an unused gas line in my kitchen cabinet. Any specific recommendations on how to cap this (sizing, material, etc)? Can I cut off the little metal collar trim? Should I enclose this in a box of some sort?
Outdoor Hose Bib Repair
What about it?
Advice for the best way to fix this? Even though the dark hole area looks like it goes all the way through it does still have some kind of hard foam style insulation inside, but the entire hose bib is loose and as you can see definitely needs to be repaired and properly reattached to the house. Too difficult for a DIY or is this something I can handle?
Backflow Preventer Install
What about it?
I’m trying to install a simple 3†backflow preventer. My drain has these two plastic drain tubes drains (one is from the furnace) that are in the way. Do I have no choice but to cut them? There is also some concrete that has to be chipped away to open it up.
