If I take the "free" rook, I can't stop the pawn from promoting. I think avoiding that trap is way better. FWIW, I won the game on time, after stopping the promotion, but probably would have still lost after the rook ran amok.

You can actually see twice since the beginning of the year when I’ve had major depression, and then later got myself together. Other than that I’ve never actually improved.

It's my first time playing a pre-emptive king safety move. Have seen professionals playing them quite often. Wanted to play f4, but it allows Qb6 check. Even if I couldn't see anything too dangerous about it opponent has a dark squared bishop too so it's inevitable that I have to move the king to safety sooner or later. Figured it's better to do it now as there's nothing critical going on than later to face some fork.
