Steam is just a little thirsty

Hopped on my PC for something quick and noticed Steam is using almost 12GB of ram lol. It’s not even doing anything as far as I can tell

Disk usage is high then goes to 0

If I don’t keep pausing and unpausing it eventually goes to zero. How to I fix?
