Outfit for my cousin's roka ceremony.

My cousin had her roka ceremony which is kind of like a pre-engagement function where the elders formally accept and welcome the bride and groom to their respective inlaws' family. The outfits were supposed to be.... traditional formal? but less fancier because it was a small function. idk how to name it but what you wear to indian functions. (i am an indian, if that wasn't clear )

How do I style wide legged jeans?

I have never worn wide legged jeans, as I’m about 5’3”, and they’re always too long on me, plus I have slightly thick thighs with regular calves so they tend to not fit right on my thighs. Anyway, recently found a pair of slightly high waisted, light wash wide legged jeans. I’m going to a bar trivia night tonight, and was wondering what top would go well? Thank you!!
