Winter formal wedding?

Is this appropriate for a winter wedding in California? I know some people have issues with black and lace but this seems like it's on the conservative side + it's black during the winter? But would appreciate thoughts!

Beach wedding and fall colors

My sister has her bfs sisters wedding coming up. It’s a beach ceremony with a reception in the woods. They have suggested fall colors. Would this be an appropriate dress? If not does anyone have any suggestions on what to improve?
