This was taken sometime in the late 1930’s. I do not know the exact date. My aunt is in the middle. My uncle (and apple of my eye) is the little boy.
My great aunt is on the far right and her husband on the far left. I love my uncle’s little hat. Though they’re not visible, he was also dressed in knickers.
My family had all their kids late in life. I was born in 1977, but my grandfather (my pictured aunt’s father) was born in the 1800’s, which I think is pretty cool.
I never met any of my grandparents. They all died before I was born. I did know my great aunt shown on the far right; she lived to be 98. We were close.
