Saw this guy running across the floor off my workshop, about the size of a quarter. My coworkers not a fan of spiders and wanted to stomp it but I’m pretty sure it’s a wolf spider. Can anyone help?

This fella (or lady) lives on my garage door. Great at catching flies and other spiders but do I need to be concerned about him should he fall onto one of my kids when the door is up?
