Everyone is talking about what huge names are going to get nominated for whichever Grammy, and I just find it so frustrating that artists with sliiiiightly smaller platforms get so easily overlooked. Noah Kahan has been around a while now, but he came out with one of the best contemporary albums I’ve ever heard and released a deluxe version this summer. He writes his own songs, and the lyrics are insane. (I BESEECH you to listen to him if you haven’t yet). He has absolutely blown up in popularity over the past year as well, consistently selling out shows. Yet Billboard lists him as only “within reach” for categories at the Grammies, not as a top contender. WHY are people like Morgan Wallen, songs like Luke Coombs COVER of Fast Car, actual contenders when artists like this aren’t?? End rant- I know the music industry is fucked up.
