Boots but no snoot, what is this bug? PNW

Found crawling on my bike under a tree in the PNW. I think it's a weevil but my brother says otherwise

Anyone know what this bug might be?

Found on a lawn in Northumberland, UK.

In the Denver (Colorado) metro area. Approximately 2 mm in length. Typically spotted around bathtub/shower drains, but also in other areas i.e. walls and ceilings, and recurring in groups of 10+
