Family was wondering what this little guy was.

Found this bug in Washington State, Seattle area. Never seen one before and was wondering if anyone here knew. He threw his butt up in a defensive stance when he we moved some debris for a better picture. He was about 1/4 to 1/2in in size.

Hello everybody! I just killed this bug it was just chilling on the kitchen wall. It’s skinny and black with brown wings. From up close it kinda looks like an ant. What the heck is this? 😭 I am terrified of bugs so hopefully it is nothing to worry about. Thank you in advance for your reply.
