New to foraging trying to identify these mushrooms.
Initially I thought it was Xerocomellus porosporus (Imler ex Bon) Å utara - Sepia Bolete but the gills rule it out.
West Coast of Ireland location 🇮🇪.
Many thanks In advance
I’m thinking Dead Man’s Fingers (Xylaria polymorpha), but I’m not 100% convinced. White on the inside with a little cross shaped darkened spot in the center of the fruiting body when cut horizontally. Growing on mulch in Western North Carolina.
