Aunt sent it to me from a British car show. Appears to have a Ford v8 under the hood and a red, white and blue badge although Im pretty sure it's not a Cobra. Any ideas?

What was my grandpa's car?

My grandpa bought this car in Italy in WW2, he couldn't remember what it was, and has since passed. Just wondering if anyone could help me figure out what it was, for curiosity sake. Thank you.
