Inherited firearm with scrubbed S/N
As the title states I just inherited a firearm with a scrubbed serial from a deceased relative. The gun is a pre-war 1911 possibly 1917/18 based on my limited knowledge. Is there anyway I can recover the S/N? I can only make out the letter N.
Also has anyone else been in this situation? What are some issues I may face? It's a neat piece of history and I would like to try and find more info on it.
Agency Arms
There are a lot of options when it come to weapons and mods. I choose to buy my weapons and modifications from companies which I have good experiences with. AGENCY ARM is a freaking amazing company and the owner is an all star! 10/10 would recommend supporting his business.
Stabalizer Brace Options
So I made this a few years ago and unfortunately I had to remove the stabilizer brace because of atf bigotry. I want some ideas on a build for keeping the brace and want to see what some of you are doing. Right now this is 11 1/2 inches but I'm thinking about replacing it with a 16 inch barrel or one shorter with a pin and weld. And maybe add a new handguard. Would love to hear your thoughts to where it can look cool with the brace on.
I want to clarify yes I know I can ignore the brace ruling but I decided to acknowledge it for this build. I spend some good money on the brace and it will be a waste to not use it. Also it is stupid to SBR it if I am leaving the brace on.
Asking for advice.
Hypothetically it is 2011, 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles ambushed on a route clear mission after an IUD takes out the lead vehicle. I want to clone this rifle. I know its got an Acog and Peq or something along those lines but mostly what rifle available to civilians would be my best choice? FN, Colt, or KAC? This is a real project in the works. Thank you in advance.
