What happens to Bane in the end of "The Dark Knight Rises" ?

is it safe to assume that most people (if they were in Batman's shoes) would likely turn to evil?

I have serious issues with Nolan’s Gotham

I don’t even know where to start. This aerial establishing shot of the city doesn’t bother me. Actually it’s how Gotham should look. And the city from “Batman Begins” has the best look of all 3 films. It was shot in Chicago and is a CGI-augmented version of Chicago. In “The Dark Knight”, we return to Chicago, but not a whole lot of CGI (there’s some but there should’ve been more) and it’s too much Chicago and it’s distracting. The hospital that gets destroyed by the Joker doesn’t look like a major hospital-a ”General Hospital” in a city home to tens of millions-GCI would be needed to enhance the environment around this hospital so it would be more convincing. I know irl this was a candy factory that was scheduled for demolition. Now in “The Dark Knight Rises” Nolan and crew ignore Chicago entirely and opt for NYC, LA, Pittsburgh and so it’s now an entirely different city. Chicago has the best skyline of all these US cities. I get having to go to New York because of the plot and Manhattan is an island with bridges that are required to be blown up for the story and NYC has many boroughs, like Gotham City would have. But Nolan is supposed to care so much about the visuals and what audiences see, but he appeared not to care about details here. There’s a montage of the bridges being blown up and it’s so obviously NYC.
