You guys my Technic Defender set build tanked
You guys I have not built many mechanical lego sets .. the only one I built before this set is the mars rover and I built it just fine no issues no problems
But I am I Lego noob .. and this is my second mechanical build
And though I have built quite a few Lego sets by now but nothing mechanical like I mentioned .. getting to the point for the first time when I was building this set I was having a very hard time telling the difference between “black†and “dark grey†pieces and most of all I was having trouble telling the difference between the black and the dark grey gears especially ..
And I only realised this when I reached step 302 and after releasing I saw that I had screwed up all the gears right from the first step onwards which was step no. 3
And now I had to systematically unassembled it all till I could fix the problem
Though I knew it was just going to be better if I just started from scratch instead but I didn’t start from scratch
Anyway getting to the point I just finished the set and this is how it ended up .. and I know the problem is in pack 1
But I don’t know what to do .. how can I deal with it .. any suggestions would be helpful ..
Can’t comment on the post anymore, but does anyone know how I could build a mech to look bulky and functional while not being to blocky like this? I’ve planned a mech myself but - when I think about it - it would have really skinny noodle arms when isn’t what I’m looking for.
Impromptu stop paid off!
Saw these were apparently a pain to find for a lot of people, so I stopped by the local Walmart after getting my car’s oil done (I rarely ever shop at Walmart, usually Target). Dug around the huge piles of Ninjago, Dreamz, and Disney poly bags and found the ONLY Bats ðŸ˜
Was going to just buy one for $12 on eBay, but $5 is much sweeter. Any chance this goes the Darth Revan route one day, or should I just rip this guy open?
