FILTER OUT ALL MOURNING/LOSS POSTS RULES

1. No Animal Abuse Any photo or video featuring abuse of any kind towards any animal will be immediately removed and the OP will be immediately permanently banned and reported to Reddit administrators.

2. Be Nice Be nice to the people. Be nice to the cats.

3. Black cats only No tuxedos, please. All posts must include a black cat, but as long as it has a black cat, it's permitted. A lil bit of white chest fluff is okay.

4. Banned topics

No titles asking for upvotes (e.g. "This cat didn't get any love in /r/aww", "it's my cake day", "my first post here", "any love for ..."). No fundraising.

5. No reposts/spam

Reposts from the last 3 days will be removed. This includes popular reposts identified by u/repostsleuthbot. If you feel that your post has been unfairly removed, we will be happy to discuss via modmail.

Crossposts from other subs ARE allowed, provided they are of black cats.

6. No detailed pet death or injury in title

Posts detailing on the death of your cat are not allowed. These are more suited for r/petloss and should be posted there. Photos of past pets are always welcome to honor their memory but explicit details of their passing are not welcome and will be removed. No photos of cat corpses. Discussion of details in the comments is permitted.

7. Soliciting medical advice is not permitted

This subreddit is not the place to ask questions about your cat's injury or sickness. The best advice an anonymous internet stranger can give is to consult a vet. Moderators reserve the rights to remove or otherwise moderate comments suggesting treatments.
