Players assume control of a divorced couple transformed into living dolls, guiding them through a whimsical yet perilous world filled with household objects scaled to giant proportions. They must synchronize movements to complete tasks such as swinging across gaps or manipulating mechanisms that demand simultaneous input from both characters. Review

Core systems emphasize paired mechanics where one character often holds or launches the other to reach platforms or activate switches, creating loops of experimentation as timing and positioning errors reset sections until both align correctly. Environments render everyday items like toolboxes and snow globes with bright, saturated colors and exaggerated proportions, while sound design layers playful chimes and rhythmic tracks that intensify during coordinated sequences. This game fits adult pairs or close friends who prefer structured co-op sessions over competitive or solo formats.

Almost dropped it after the first hour. The early parts just drag with nothing but slow setups and no real pressure.

Then that one section with the oversized tools hit different. Both characters had to chain the jumps and counters in sync or get flattened by the falling wrenches. Every time I died it was because I mistimed my own input, not some random spike or glitch.

It Takes Two actually respects that kind of back and forth once the fights start. Still wish the checkpoints were tighter though.
