I used my mimic tear too although he didn't survive very long. I pretty much just stacked poison and scarlot rot on him, tanked as much as I could with as much lightning damage negation that I could get (I used the incantation as well) and the axe does decent damage on its own anyways.

My weapon? +9. My armor? Full Radahn's armor + pothead. Using his summons against him? I finished the brenches. The summons aren't a problem for me the main issue is that his followups NEVER FUCKIN ENDS. I'm starting to think Malenia is not worth it
