New feature to prevent customers from lying about not receiving their order?
What about it?
Usually when I get a hand it to me order and they’re not answering the door or responding I get the option to wait 5 minutes and then drop off the food with a picture instead, but this order said to return if you can’t hand it to them.
I rang multiple times and called multiples times, sent a text explaining the situation including the same screenshot and the lady finally answered during the last minute and told me “to leave it at the door.†I explained to her I couldn’t do that since she chose the hand it to me option and doordash wants me to return it if I can’t hand it to you. She sighs and says she’ll be out in a minute, she finally comes out a couple minutes later and I kindly apologize and try to show her so she knows for future reference and she rudely says “whatever just give it to me.â€
I try to always give people the benefit of the doubt but her the whole situation stank of her hoping I’d leave the order without a picture so she could report that I didn’t deliver her order. I never use doordash personally so I’m just curious has there always been an option to not allow the order to be left and that’s why it didn’t let me take a picture after 5 minutes or is this something new? Even if I give her the benefit of the doubt lady is still pretty not smart for not even checking off leave at door if that’s what she wanted. I would’ve drove back to BK too for the return I’m not about to get my ass deactivated so you can have a free meal lol.
