Just finished baking these for Father’s Day!

Do you ever forget a totally critical step?

What about it?

I made pastry boxes for my staff as an end-of-year gift, and delivered them on Friday. It has been my most ambitious baking project yet, and I was so pleased to have pulled it off! Until I bolted awake last night, having remembered that I didn’t roll the snickerdoodles in the cinnamon sugar topping 🤦🏼‍♀️

What about it?

I used some almond flour in addition to the AP and a little almond extract in addition to the vanilla. Mini chocolate chips are best for this one - I used ghirardelli barista size chips. My son's favorite.

Batter too thick? Cooking temp too low? (325 per recipe) cupcakes made with leftover batter from each layer were great, but this turned out very, very dense. Pushed most of the cake spheres inside to the middle. Kids didn’t mind but I was bummed. First bday cake fail in a long time. 😔 recipe in comments.

Family recipe for cinnamon rolls - we put brown sugar and butter in the bottom of each pan before baking for a caramelized topping

Dry clean only - would you risk it?

What about it?

I loved this suit so much I bought it and broke my golden rule of ‘washable only!’ Any help or advice gratefully received….

Is this fixable? Used vanish oxi to no avail. Brought to dry cleaner’s said it was ruined forever
