What about it?
While many people today are familiar with Jeff Bridges' work (*Tron*, *The Big Lebowski*, *The Fabulous Baker Boys* with brother Beau, etc), it should be noted that came from Hollywood royalty. His father, Lloyd Bridges, had an illustrious career which spanned 65 years. Among the most famous of his works were *High Noon* (1952), the TV show *Sea Hunt* (1958-61), *Death Race* (1973), the miniseries *Roots* (1977), and *Telethon* (1977).
He enjoyed a renaissance in the later years of his career, with comedic roles in movies, like *Airplane!* (198, *Weekend Warriors* (1986), *Hot Shots* (1991), and *Honey, I Blew Up the Kid* (1992). Lloyd Bridges died of natural causes in 1998, at the age of 85.
