Help with aggressive cat

What about it?

Two weeks ago I rescued a young cat off a freeway. By all indications he’d been thrown out of a car, and had some injuries such as broken teeth and paw pads ripped up. The first week, as he healed, he spent a lot do time with me and my wife, and seemed to love the attention and love. Over the last week he’s gotten very aggressive with both of us but me in particular. I’m unable to spend any time with him without him yowling at me, tail flaring up, hair on his back rising, and tail rapidly moving. I’ve been bitten a number of times. My wife has too, but she has more luck with him being affectionate. Tonight I was in the room with him, where he is separated from the other animals, for a grand total of about a minute before he came up on my lap purring and then bit me hard again. I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to just take him to a shelter and make him someone else’s problem. Our house has other cats and two dogs. There isn’t a lot of tension there, and we’ve met him explore some and they are mostly tolerating each other. What’s going on? Did a guy abuse him? Is he just a butthead? Thoughts?

Latenight cat sleepover!??

What about it?

My cat is sick and she went through surgery today. Shes wearing a surgery suit. She’s so loopy and weird. She can hardly move around without being a rolly polie. I know she’s just wearing off sedation but she can’t get to her most comfortable places so I made a fort on the floor around her and we’re going to watch classic sleepover movies because I have no other girlfriends
