Identification, I found this fungus growing above the fallen damp log, but this one is rising straight up in the round in flood plains of Brahmaputra Himalaya.
The Himalayan monal lives at high altitudes—up to 4,500 metres (14,800 ft)—in the hill forests and shrublands of the Himalayan mountains. The males of this species are some of the most colourful birds in the world, displaying an entire rainbow of iridescent feathers.
