5 years ago I was on a dark road of addiction and depression. Got clean and sober thanks to good people and I started following my "true" passions... and now am starring in a feature film. I wanted to celebrate a little bit. Never quit before the miracle happens!

Horror master Clive Barker (HELLRAISER) was still recovering from his throat cancer. At the convention we went too to meet him, he was over 2 hours late because of his health. None of the fans complained. No one went KAREN or demanded for him to show up. We knew he was recovering and were all patient. Hell, a lot of us became buddies as we talked about our favorite movies. When he showed up, his handlers stressed that photos were not allowed (takes too long) and no personal requests on autographs. Again -due to his health. Clive, however, ignored his handlers. He spoke to all of us for a good 2-3 minutes or so...but it was what happened at the end that was amazing. A fan who was the last in line brought one of the Clive's artbooks Clive spent some time going through it before going to the last 2 blank pages. Without saying a word, he drew out an art piece across both pages then signed it with a 1 out of 1 added to prove it was an original one of a kind. The fan just stared at this in shock. Here, he wanted just an autograph and instead got that and a clive barker original art piece. I got to see it later, and it was just mind blowing. This is why I love the horror community so much.
