My partner and I are unsure how to deal with this, it’s come to breaking point this morning because he chewed off a really big leaf in the night. We can’t move the plant somewhere he can’t reach and don’t have an area where we can keep him overnight to keep him away from it (small flat living). Would cat grass help and while we work on that, what could we do?

My mum got me and my brother a cat when I was 8 (in 2005) here in UK. We called her Flower. From that day she became a member of our family and stole our hearts with how kind and loving she was. In 2008, we moved to Ontario, Canada and we thought we must bring her with us, as she’s one of us now. I remember feeling terrible for having to put her on a plane for 7+ hours, I thought she must’ve been so scared. But once arriving, she quickly settled in, and she loved it. She had never seen the snow settle so deep before. The air smelt different. I’m sure the cat food was better too. Unfortunately after a few months, we had to leave Canada to move back to the UK, and my mum said “it would be traumatic to put Flower on another plane, her quality of life is so much better here and if it’s okay with you boys, id like us all to agree she should stay in Canada, even though we will miss her so so much”. Hardest thing I ever did was leaving her behind. But I was told she’d be someone’s forever cat and she’d be cared for. 15 years later, I’m 26 now, and I was sent a picture of her saying she’s still living life at 18 years old in Canada. I can’t believe it. I shed a little tear for her, but in that moment I felt a little piece of me heal. I love you Flower, thanks for being my best friend during my childhood.

It’s starting to get obscene. So he’s always chewed his wittle arms but now he is losing hair from over grooming everywhere he can reach. Vet visit scheduled.

No idea what has set this off. It could be allergies or it could be the stray male cat that showed up outside that has been hanging around. Anyone have any success dealing with stress or allergy induced overgrooming?

Why does my cat always lay down near my backpacks when I come home from my trips?

So I am a full time student, going away for uni from sunday till friday in another city. The weekends I travel back home. Everytime I come back my cat always smells my backpack and lays besides it for a good amount of time. Is there a reason for it?
