How to secure this spout to a wall?
What about it?
[UK] I’m having a nightmare getting this to feel secure.
I’ve built a false wall in bathroom to conceal a cister and all the plumbing. These are the only parts that come with the spout. I’m using a flexible tap connecter from the mixer to that gold fitting and it just doesn’t feel tight enough.
Do i need to cur down the gold with a hacksaw to make it shorter?
I bought some M20 nuts but it wonmt screw on, think the pitch of the thread is wrong or M20 is too small? Do they make nuts to suit the 1/2†bsp or whatever the gold is? Should i just pack it with some washers?
Woodford Model 20 repair
What about it?
Need help with a Woodford Model 20 making a crazy rattle from internal vibration when turned on midway. Water is at 65psi. Want to replace the plunger next. Having difficulty removing the rod and plunger as the 3 wings of the plunger seems to get stuck on a lip in the pipe. Any tricks or do I just yank harder? Don’t want to break the plunger off and have it stuck in the pipe. That would be a whole world of hurt I suspect. Appreciate any advice.
3 years experienced plumbing apprentice trying to figure out what the hell was done here.
What about it?
Was sent to a house because the toilet was flushing slow. Determined that either septic is full or there's a main line clog as every fixture is backing up. Went under to get a look at the waste and found this. It's the shower drain. No trap and that line is 2" pvc. So my best guess is that they installed a 3" shower flange and obviously didn't care to fix their mistake because they didn't want to rip out all the vinyl? So they just butted the 2" pvc all the way inside the 3" flange?
Why would someone do this?
What about it?
Found this in the master bedroom of our new house. Wasn’t on the inspection report. Sink drains very slowly and leaks. I’m assuming I should cut the sink drain line and adapt a 45 degree trap onto it? Or should the drain line be replaced completely with pvc so we don’t have two different materials meeting each other?
What the hell is even that

Trying to replace this shower head hose, but it’s fitting is no where to be found, can’t even find the same sized hose from Home Depot, anybody know of a better fitting that’s 1/2 inch? The one on it now is 3/8ths with 3 other 1/2 fittings.
