What about it?

A lovely summer scene from Cape Cod – sunny yellow Coreopsis speckle a grassy hill leading up to the iconic Highland Light in North Truro bathed in the warm light of the late day sky. It’s probably no mystery that Edward Hopper is one of my favorite painters. I’ve spent many hours “reading” his brushwork and compositions. I’m happy that his work influences the choices I make in my own work. Thanks to Betty Wiley for letting me use her lovely photo as inspiration for this painting.
