Is my thin GPU going to cause me any trouble?

So I salvage this CD burner from an old Dell I was wondering if there is an adapter I can buy to power this I don't even know what type of connector that is to search for One (I know the one next to it is SATA) but is there for example is there an adapter that will adapt SATA power or molex to whatever this connector is?

Odd thermal issues

Hello i'm trying to fix my friend's PC. Yet it has an odd thermal issue CPU bound. I tried multiple coolers AIO's and Air Coolers. Als different thermal paste. Yet the temp seems to go 100 straight away. Could this be a software issue? Or something BIOS related? The GPU seems to be running normal temps at 30°c idle. (Sorry that it's not a screenshot.)

Has anyone overclocked the i5 12600k? I’m interested to see if anyone has and has got any performance increases from it. I want to overclock mine but I am unsure of how to do it all.
