Hi there, I'm looking to see if this would be the normal set-up for making 45° cuts on these boards or is there a more preferred way safety wise to avoid the board getting kickback from the fence position? The main piece would be on the right of the blade and the offcut corner would be on the left. Thank you all in advance.

How to restore the finish to the top? Sun damage left a “shadow”. Just sand and refinish?
