Welcome Willow

What about it?

We lost our beloved golden last month at the age of 13 and 7 months. We stumbled upon Willow at the age of 9 weeks and couldn’t turn her away. It was so hard losing my best pal, but it is so easy to fill my heart with another golden

Questions about Golden Puppy

What about it?

Our puppy is 8 weeks old and we've had her since Sunday afternoon. My questions are as follows: 1. She is of course very mouthy and explores everything with her teeth as expected. However, she is not biting us at all so far aside from accidental contact. In your experience, does this mean she won't really be a biter in the puppy stage or is it just too soon to say? Is there even such a thing as a puppy who doesn't bite? 2. She is also a very calm pup. She can self soothe well and will put herself down for naps as long as the room is quiet and calm. After potty breaks and some light exercise/sniff walks/garden zoomies, I will play with her for just a few mins and then just sit nearby so she can play on her own and settle down to sleep in 10 - 15 mins. My question on this is if it sounds correct? Once I'm trying to settle her, I only intervene when she is nibbling something she shouldn't and I redirect her to an appropriate toy. As she grows older, should I be trying to exhaust her more or if I keep going like this (but with longer and longer walks as she ages), will it nurture her naturally calm nature? Can't believe I'm posting here asking about my calm puppy who doesn't bite... I feel like it just hasn't started yet 😂 I'm sure once she reaches T-Rex age, I'll be back! Puppy Tax added.

The look.

What about it?

I get this long eye every morning after his meal, 2 mile walk, post-walk treat, remove his collar, and I relax on the couch. Everyday.
