Spalding intermediate irons? I can't seem to find any info on these at all. Apparently spalding stopped making clubs early 2000 and these don't show up anywhere from their production years 1920-2002

My friend and I are attempting to build a very large trebuchet, and are trying to do it without buying tons of lumber (it’s very expensive where we are) so we have these two long pieces of wood that we are trying to attach, end to end for an upright support. What are your thoughts on how to do this?
