Follow up on the Suit for Suits post. Someone said it wasnt a suit, unless you wear the whole thing. I usually wear a Threepiece, but often dont wear the coat all day due to the heat. Must the coat stay on to make it a suit?

Thrifted Jacket - Would this work?

Thrifted this jacket and while I like it, I've never had an odd jacket, so I'm trying to figure out how to combine it before I decide if I want to keep it and probably bring it to my tailor (shorten arms a tad bit, maybe add double vents to make it fall a bit better in the back).
Do the oxblood boots work? Or would a simple brown Oxford or Loafer be the better choice?
