What type of fly is this?

What about it?

While up camping last week, I came across this guy with beautiful iridescent wings and a seemingly unique pattern on them. I’d love to know what kind of fly (or not) it is! (Found in the La Salle mountains in Utah, if that helps!)

Is this a yellow sac spider? Found in Canada, in one of the cups I use for coffee.

What about it?

Should I have killed it instead of releasing it? I heard their bites can be quite uncomfortable.

What is this bug? Found on my friends bed. While we thought it was a bedbug at first, the abdomen was conical and the bug itself was 2” long.
