I keep getting comments about this event that people are interested in learning about. This is my first major event I've booked in over a decade. Life has had a lot of curveballs, more like a rollercoaster ride with the ups and downs. Finally back at it and this is my first official big event! September 22nd, 2023 at Freighthouse Square Rainier Room (three blocks from the Tacoma Doma aka the Thunderdome!). Show starts at 8pm. 18+. Tickets available right now and today is the final day for Early Bird ticket specials. I booked legendary Mob Tactics to headline this glorious event. We are celebrating the fall Equinox where the nights begin to become longer as we march into the cold winter. We also have local talents that are up and coming Aether One and Wubmama. To start the event, I will be DJing and then having two smaller local DJs come out and rock their sets! What’s an unpopular opinion you have about EDM and/or raving that would get you in this position?

What about it?

I’ll go first I don’t understand the appeal of mainstream tech house, to me it just seems formulaic and unoriginal. It’s not offensively bad or anything, it just sounds like something you’d have in the background to pass the time. It tries to be techno and house at the same time but fails to capture the essence of these genres and thus creates an inferior product imo
