Had an interesting malfunction at the range

What about it?

While firing my AR, I had the casing get stuck in the chamber and half of it ripped out during extraction. The next one chambered into the ripped casing and got jammed inside. For reference, the one on the left is the one that jammed and the one on the right is normal. How common is this?

Haven't opened my cleaning bag in 3 years. I think I purchased some Hoppe's cleaning solution and dumped it into this spray bottle but I'm not positive. Does this stuff look like Hoppe's to you? Is the color consistent with that of Hoppes?
